A new research note has predicted some new features for the Apple’s next flagship. Analyst Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company cites Apple provide chain resources to reveal fundamental changes on the iPhone 8.
He guesses three new iPhone model this year, and he talked a premium model ‘iPhone X’ in his research note. Arcuri foretells that the smartphone is going to have a big highlight as a facial recognition feature beneath the display.
iPhone 8 Concept Design: Let’s take a quick look
Business Insider acquired this research note, and it says that iPhone 8 will be a grand ‘feature-rich’ smartphone that will be available in 2017 possibly. iPhone 8 is going to feature a 5.8-inch ‘wraparound’ OLED display, according to his research. Arcuri expects that the earpiece, FaceTime camera and Touch ID fingerprint sensor will be placed at the bottom of the screen.
Moreover, it is going to maintain same (or (slightly bigger) screen size from iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Apple depends on Samsung’s bulk capacity to attach OLED screen in the upcoming device.
Arcuri claims that iPhone 8 is going to include wireless charging and some facial/gesture recognition by a new laser sensor and an infrared sensor located near the front-facing camera.
The iPhone 8 will include an enhanced haptic feedback support to imitate the 3D Touch feature as you have noticed on the latest iPhone model at present. It could be more waterproof than previous iPhone models. These are speculation about the upcoming Apple’s flagship smartphone. We have to wait to hear from the official staff to get any confirmation.
