Freechrage introduced Google Play recharge codes after a week from Paytm. It is available on its mobile app along with desktop site now.
The mobile digital wallet feature will allow customers to purchase a Google Play recharge code. It is same as doing a mobile recharge. Just select Google Play option on Freecharge app and input an amount to proceed with the payment. You will receive an email and SMS (on registered number) Google Play recharge code shortly. This purchase code is applicable on Google Play Store through Redeem now option. You can use this recharge code to buy digital content on Google Play such as movies, games, music, ebooks and paid apps.
Announcing the new category, Sudeep Tandon, Chief Business Officer, FreeCharge, said, “At FreeCharge, our endeavour remains to diversify the payment categories for our consumers. Just like Paytm, Google Play recharge codes are going to be available on FreeCharge through the US-based electronic payment service Euronet Worldwide which will manage all these transactions.
On the partnership with FreeCharge, Himanshu Pujara, Managing Director, Euronet Services India Pvt Ltd, said, “Globally, Euronet Worldwide has been working with Google for distribution of Google Play Cards. With this launch, a digital form of this product ‘Google Play Recharge Code’ is now available to Indian consumers via the FreeCharge mobile app and website. Euronet will power and process these transactions. FreeCharge customers will receive the code instantaneously which can be redeemed on Google Play store for consumption of games, movies, books, apps and other paid content.”
